What to expect at NCBC

Welcome to National Capital Bible Church!

If you are considering making your first visit to our church, we want to make you as comfortable as possible. Here are a few things you may want to know for your first visit!

Who exactly is NCBC?

National Capital Bible Church is located in Springfield, Virginia. In conjunction with our Board of Deacons, Pastor Dan Inghram has led our non-denominational Bible church for over 16 years, equipping believers with God’s message and providing Bible doctrine to guide us through our daily lives. All of Pastor Inghram’s messages are rooted in the Scripture, the divinely inspired Word of God.

When is Bible study?

We offer two services a week: Wednesday night from 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. and Sunday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The two services are not the same series. Please note that we host a prayer meeting Wednesday nights before the service, starting at 6:45 p.m. We also have social time beginning at 10 a.m. on Sunday mornings.

Will I be greeted?

As National Capital Bible Church is host to a more intimate congregation, you will certainly meet some of our church members. However, respecting your privacy is of the utmost importance to us. You will not be asked to provide any personal information. You can expect the friendliness associated with meeting new people who are happy to have you join them in worship.

Is there childcare at National Capital Bible Church?

Yes!

We offer Sunday School for the Biblical education of our congregation’s younger children. Infants through Kindergarten will be in our nursery, while grades 1 - 3 are in one group and grades 4 - 6 are in another. Children in grades 7 and above will be with the adults.

What type of worship music should I expect?

National Capital Bible Church sings traditional hymns as a congregation along with a piano.

Do I need to bring anything?

Most members of our congregation bring a Bible and something to take notes with, including laptops and tablets. We also provide a limited number of Bibles, paper, and pens based on availability.

How should I dress?

While there is no strict dress code at National Capital Bible Church, you will find some dressed more formally, and some more casual.

Can I participate in Communion?

Yes! You do not need to be a member of National Capital Bible Church to receive communion with us.
